Nazena x FLEAi – When Matter Meets the Challenge

What happens when matter is removed from its natural environment and put to the test?

Not merely as a collaboration, but as a concrete challenge: to bring Nazena — a material designed for aesthetics and grounded in an eco-sustainable approach — into an industrial setting, where durability, consistency and performance are not merely added value, but a necessary prerequisite.

FLEAi has opened the camp.

And that’s where Nazena started.

The starting point is Nova, a modular assembly station designed to adapt to today’s production environments: dynamic, variable, and constantly evolving.

Nova allows you to arrange multiple workstations around a single central hub, optimizing space and workflow, with a design that combines user-friendly ergonomics with built-in support for digital integration and AI.

To truly function effectively, Nova needed a surface that was up to the task. Not only did it need to be durable, but it also had to maintain its performance, stability, and aesthetic appeal over time, even in an industrial setting.

This is where Nazena steps in and takes the initiative.

The request was clear: to take the material into a completely new setting, far removed from the usual contexts of design. A metalworking environment characterized by intensive use, constant stress and complex operating conditions. A challenge that Nazena took on, testing the material’s durability and strength as well.

The panel developed for Nova, in the 120×60 format, was designed as a solid panel and treated with a special coating to ensure maximum durability even under harsh conditions. This is not merely an adaptation but an evolution: the material has been reimagined to meet new requirements, without losing its design identity or its commitment to a sustainable lifecycle.

-MECSPE: Validation by the Industrial Market

Nova was unveiled at MECSPE, Italy’s leading trade fair for the manufacturing industry, a hub where innovation, technology and industry decision-makers come together.

And the response was immediate. It wasn’t just interest, but genuine attention from those who plan and manage production on a daily basis.

The value of the partnership with Nazena also became clear at the trade show: the quality of the surface, the durability of the material, and the aesthetic consistency were recognized as integral to the system’s performance.

As the founder of FLEAi points out, Nova was born out of firsthand experience in the field: first as a metalworker, then as a production manager, and finally as an industrial engineer. This journey has led to a synthesis of the practical needs of the operator with current corporate policies, including those related to ESG criteria.

It is precisely in this context that our collaboration with Nazena fits in: the desire to offer a product that effectively meets production needs by incorporating eco-sustainable materials where sustainability is a tangible value for companies.

The feedback received paints a clear picture of a project in which the strengths of FLEAi and Nazena complement and reinforce one another. Nova has been recognized as:

And our sights are already set on the future: as emerged from our discussions with FLEAi, the goal is to gradually expand the use of Nazena materials until they replace steel in all components where a strictly structural function is not required. A gradual transition, linked in part to the optimization of production costs, but one that points in a clear direction: making sustainable materials an integral part of industrial systems, no longer just an alternative.

FLEAi has thus established itself as a startup capable of turning an idea into a tangible system, without getting bogged down in empty promises.

At the same time, Nazena, reaffirms its identity: to innovate with materials while promoting an ethical message that goes beyond mere vision and seeks real-world application..

A convergence of two approaches that share the same goal: making innovation something that can be seen, used, and measured.
