What a news! We’ve passed the selection phase involving 177 participants and we are now among the 20 best startups competing for the Green Alley Award, the first award in Europe for startups in the circular economy.
HIGHLY IMPORTANT: now we need your help!
From January 18 indeed begins the phase dedicated to the public vote: yours, that we hope you’ll choose to give to us. You’ll have time until February 15 to give us your preference and make us one of the 6 finalist startups, but don’t hesitate: go to this link and give us your support!
Up for grabs is a path of acceleration and networking and a cash prize of € 25,000, but above all a great opportunity to make known and spread the model of circular economy for the world of fashion signed Nazena.
Nazena among the best startups for the circular economy: why?
But why should you give us your vote? What makes Nazena special?
Let us tell you right away, then the choice is obviously up to you.
Nazena recovers industrial textile waste and transforms it into new circular products, eliminating the CO2 emissions caused by their disposal. In this way, it reduces the environmental impact of the textile industry but also offers a concrete solution to companies that currently don’t know what to do with their production waste. And that’s not all: these scraps become productive resources for them, or secondary raw materials, used to create new products to be reintroduced into their production chain or sold in their stores. Do you think it’s over? No, it’s not: the same finished products, once they reach the end of their life, are withdrawn from Nazena to be processed and transformed again. And again and again.
Their life cycle becomes much, much longer, virgin resources are preserved and CO2 emissions are drastically reduced.
The same thing happens with clothes discarded by private individuals, which are put back on the market with a new form and function.
Green Alley Award: the prize that aims at climate neutrality
Now that you know more about what our circular economy proposal stands for, let us tell you a little more on the award for which we’re asking your contribution.
The Green Alley Award was born in 2014 in Germany as an initiative of the Landbell Group and in particular CEO Jan Patrick Schulz.
Its stated aim is to establish an economy that uses resources in a sustainable way and achieves climate neutrality. The conviction is that policies such as banning single-use plastics in the EU are not enough for this, but that we need true innovators, lateral thinkers who dare to challenge established processes: the startups.
We obviously agree. And luckily we are not the only ones, there are other startups that like us are dedicated to this purpose and we hope there will be a rosy future for everyone
But we are particularly certain about our circular economy model for fashion: it works, reduces pollution and increases efficiency on many fronts!
